ABOUT THE YORKTON TRIBAL COUNCIL
YTC provides quality services to the member Nations in Health, Community Enhancement, Community Infrastructure and Emergency Management, Justice, Education and Employment, the Safe Haven women’s shelter and Eagle Sky Healing Lodge.
We work to continuously improve the quality of life of our First Nations’ members in the communities they live. With the direction and guidance of our member nations, we provide relevant programs and services that enrich the well-being, health, and prosperity of our people. We promote self-sufficiency, ensuring the protection of our Inherent rights, our Treaty Rights, and our Traditional Territories.
YTC is made up of a Board (6-member First Nation Chiefs), Tribal Chief and Director of Operations who oversee 8 active departments with close to 100 employees across five locations. YTC is committed to quality assurance and is responsive to our communities’ needs.

Yorkton Tribal Council is committed to providing programs and services to improve the quality of life of our Member First Nations and their people. Yorkton Tribal Council strives to enrich the health, well-being, and prosperity of our people by promoting self-sufficiency, sovereignty, and the protection of our Treaty and Inherent Aboriginal rights as long as the sun shines, the grass grows and the rivers flow.

Our Service Area
Administration/ Political
Leadership, finance, human resources and administration supporting all YTC departments and the six member Nations.
HEALTH AND SOCIAL DEVELOPMENT
Health Initiatives and services that are holistic and consider the mental, spiritual, emotional, physical and cultural aspects of the individual.
JUSTICE
Tribal Justice Unit provides services in the area of justice administration, which are sensitive to the cultural needs of the First Nations and Aboriginal people on reserve and in the urban environment.
COMMUNITY INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES
Housing, infrastructure, fire safety and emergency management support for member Nations, including asset inspections and emergency response planning.
EDUCATION
The Yorkton Tribal Council provides supervisory services in the program and instruction activities of our member First Nation Schools.
SAFE HAVEN
Safe Haven works toward the elimination of family violence by providing a safe temporary shelter, empowerment, support, education, and awareness of alternatives to violence.
Eagle Sky Healing Lodge (Detox Centre)
A 10-bed adult co-ed detox centre on Kahkewistahaw First Nation, offering a safe and supportive first step in the healing journey.
