YTC Labour Force Development Program
The Yorkton Tribal Council Labour Force Development (YTC LFD) has implemented the Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ASETS) initiative since October 2010 and is funded through Saskatchewan Indian Training Assessment Group Inc. (SITAG). The Aboriginal Skills and Employment Training Strategy (ASETS) is the federal government’s design to help improve the employment opportunities of Aboriginal peoples and to enable them to fully participate in the Canadian economy in a relationship based on mutual trust, respect and openness. ASETS funding support the costs of programs, services and other activities that are designed to increase the participation of Aboriginal Peoples in the Canadian labour market.
Eligible Clientele:
Eligible clientele are the status First Nations and Inuit working age population that reside in Yorkton Tribal Council Labour market geographical area including Cote, Kahkewistahaw, Keeseekoose, The Key, Zagime Anishinabek and Ocean Man First Nations.
